Candle Favors for a Backyard Summer WeddingWhen the question of wedding favors came up for our August '22 backyard wedding, the obvious choice for this candlemaker was, well, custom candles of course! I scoured Pinterest for inspiration and found a few ideas to add to my wedding notebook. These were a few amongst my favorite ideas. This display, simple and pretty, became the inspiration for my final display/styling design. Ideas in hand, I got down to making the choices that would fit my unique, personal wedding look & style.I collected a variety of neutral pottery & vintage style glass vessels. I also added a handful of this gorgeous green vessel to add a pop of my wedding color “fern” to the mix. I ordered custom matchbox covers from Etsy and thank you card attachments from The Knot. The cards are double sided with a simple "Love & Thanks" greeting on one side and a personal note of thanks and gratitude for joining us on our special day, on the flip side. I loved the look of attaching with either side showing, for a mixy/matchy feel that complimented my eclectic, curated vibe. After creating & finalizing the custom fragrance blends (see those details below), I attached thank you cards to the poured candles with a fine, fern green, jute string. I mocked up this display a few weeks before the wedding so I could tweak and add to and adjust over time. (One of the best things about having your wedding on your own property!) A guest took the photos below, day of the wedding. I am so grateful, as I didn't really get many photos of our final set up (I was a little pre-occupied after all). |
